About Thailand
Thailand is a kingdom in mainland South-East Asia. Bangkok is the capital and the largest city. About 66 million people live here. It borders Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia, with coasts on the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea. Thai is the official language. The currency is the baht (THB).
Thailand is a member of ASEAN and a large domestic market for manufacturing, tourism, logistics and regional services. Bangkok is the commercial centre. Foreign ownership of a Thai limited company is restricted under the Foreign Business Act unless a Board of Investment promotion, a treaty structure, or another statutory exception applies. English is used in business in Bangkok. This is an operating jurisdiction with real presence, not a remote starter filing.
Brikseka forms Thai companies. The usual vehicle is a limited company. Foreign-ownership rules, Board of Investment promotion, or a treaty structure are mapped before the articles are filed. A visit is required. A local director is required. Banking and work-permit steps typically follow in person. Timeframes typically run from three to eight weeks.
We then advise on a Thai business bank account and payment gateways such as Stripe and PayPal. Thai banks work in person, and a work permit is often required before an account will open. Approvals are decided by the providers. If your aim is to live in Thailand, company formation is not a residence permit — that is a separate immigration file, which we also advise on.
