Country overview
About Pakistan
Pakistan is a federal republic in South Asia. Islamabad is the capital. About 240 million people live here. It borders India, Afghanistan, Iran and China, with an Arabian Sea coast. Urdu and English are official languages. The currency is the Pakistani rupee (PKR).
Pakistan has one of the world's larger domestic markets, a company statute administered by the SECP, and a substantial services and trading economy in the bigger cities. Islamabad is the seat of government; Karachi is the principal commercial city. A Pakistani company is the legal home for businesses that operate here — local trading, services, and export work that needs a Pakistani entity.
Brikseka forms Pakistani companies. The usual vehicle is a private limited company or a single-member company (SMC), registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. No local director is required. Company documents can often be prepared remotely; identification or banking may still require a visit.
We then advise on a Pakistani business bank account and on local payment processors. Stripe is not available for Pakistan-registered merchants. Payoneer and domestic processors are the usual path. Approvals are decided by the providers.
