About Mexico
Mexico is a federal republic in North America. Mexico City is the capital and the largest city. About 131 million people live here. It borders the United States, Guatemala and Belize, with coasts on the Pacific and the Gulf of Mexico. Spanish is the official language. The currency is the Mexican peso (MXN).
Mexico is a large domestic market and a party to the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement, with deep trade and supply-chain links to the United States and Canada. Mexico City is the commercial and professional centre. The legal system is civil law. A Mexican company is an operating company in Mexico, with notarial formality and tax registration as part of a complete file.
Brikseka forms Mexican companies. The usual vehicles are a sociedad de responsabilidad limitada (S. de R.L.) or a sociedad anónima de capital variable (S.A. de C.V.). Formation typically takes three to eight weeks and includes apostille of foreign documents and a Mexican notary. Company documents can often be prepared with a power of attorney; identification, banking, or immigration may still require travel.
We then advise on a business bank account and payment gateways such as Stripe and PayPal. Mexican banks often require an RFC and presence in Mexico. Approvals are decided by the providers. If your aim is to live in Mexico, company formation is not a residence permit — that is a separate immigration file, which we also advise on.
